The cabaret show Diva School (alternatively named Lessons in Divadom) is a fun, light-hearted, interactive, comical show where an audience is transported to a classroom situation. There is a laptop on stage and a digital black board. ‘Professor’, Teresa De Gennaro educates ‘students’ in the fundamentals of Divadom. Where did our first Divas come from? What IS a true Diva? What really constitutes a Diva? The talent, the looks, the glamour, the life style?
How can you be one?
Via song, ten lessons are taught in order to achieve diva-dom.
In a clever and creative way Teresa takes tips from various Goddesses, including: Barbara Striesand, Peggy Lee, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Madonna, Lady Gaga and even Amy Whinehouse.
Diva School promises to deliver a very audience interactive show where members are encouraged to answer questions and sing along. ‘Students’ learn to expose their inner divas. Yes even the men! By the end of class the pet student show cases their abilities up on stage.
Standard favourites sung are: Big Spender, The Wind Beneath My Wings, River Deep Mountain High, The Greatest Love of All and Like a virgin to name but a few.
Stunning graphics also accompany the mood and style of songs.
